Arts Commission

Overview

The Tipton Public Arts Commission consists of five members, three members appointed by the mayor and two appointed by the City Council. Members serve three-year terms and may be reappointed for one consecutive three-year term. No member may serve more than two consecutive three-year terms, but they are eligible to be appointed again after at least a one-year absence. The purpose of the Commission is to enhance the city's environment, attract new businesses and residents, encourage community artists and residents to engage in creative activities and artistic development, and develop and implement a unified public art strategy for the community.
